So far 2011 has been difficult and a bit busy but I am always optimistic about things. Being away from my old class mates is a bummer but i have found new friends. Being part of the mentoring group is hard because i always have to catch up in class and it can be difficult at times. I am over joyed to be in Mr Shorts class as I have heard loads of positive comments from past students. One of my personal goals is to leave my social life outside and keep my class attitude indoors. I am hoping for a great year this year !! :) Bogeydon's Back! Down the hallway a lost place, in the middle o the heating desert , lives a monster as ugly as a slug with a cold. Never seen during the day it uses the black night to commit it's dastardly deeds. Big, black, bogeyman. Jaws salivating like a frenzied dog, claws sharpened like an axe, a brain intoxiated with hatred. Fearless, determination and hungry. Its huge frame required a constant source of nourishment. Anything, would quench his hunger. He was a garbage can. Its cave was littered with skeletons. Snapped and chewed like a candy bar.
Class We are doing loads of fun Maths. We are solving problems like 47x3 & 53x7. I find this easy-medium. We are also doing table arrays in class. Basic Facts: In February I got 96 and in March I got 99. Spelling: For the spelling essential test i got 100/100.
Literacy: We are designing and developing a class description and photo. We have to write a little paragraph about each student in the class. Here is one I did based on the teacher.
Miss Prim is the sweetest strawberry of them all. A small mouse tone voice kids enjoy. She is as tall as a skyscraper and as thin as a pin. Her hair flows like a river, smooth and calm. The kids enjoy hert and they all get on well. No one is afraid to approach her. Her heart is pure good, made of cupcakes, ice-cream and flowers. Her style is vintage, laid-back and colourless. Black & white. :)
My speech topic is on 'why most people over 10 should have a cellphone'.
Michael Jackson: I look up to him as a hero and a person. I enjoy listening to the music he creates and watching as he helps to save lifes.
